✦ When System Tray is opened, only a bar is shown, no applications.
Things to try:
-
Uninstall your current version of your Seelen UI and install the other version (Microsoft Store / Exe install). App data will not be removed unless selected however if you wish to ensure, backup it up (path at the top of the page).
- Most have it fixed by switching to the exe variant. However it has been noted that the tray can also work on the store version.
-
The following is only mentioned as a note, it is unverified whether it has an effect on the latest versions: Quit from seelen ui and go into normal windows and open the system tray and then start seelen ui.
-
Also note that apps like Start11, StartAllBack or others that modify the taskbar may cause issues as well. We do not support the use of said apps with Seelen UI.
If you cannot fix it with the above, you can bring up native tray like so until further updates:
Win + Bthen release the keys and pressEnter.
✦ Wifi connections unable to be found.
╰─ This happens because location is bound to network access and you have not given seelen permission to access your location.
- Open Windows Settings and Navigate to Privacy & security > Location and grant access. Image!
✦ Blurred/Dark/Grey/White Screen/Overlay when opening Seelen UI.
╰─ This issue is simply a result of app conflicts:
- Apps like MicaForEveryone, Windhawk (~mods that effect window style), and others that modify windows style either need to be disabled/removed OR you must add an exception to Seelen UI if possible by whatever app is in use.
✦ Browser video frozen/black when hovering over Seelen elements.
╰─ The issue is caused by a browser feature:
- Firefox-based browser?
- Go to "about:config" (type in address bar) and search widget.windows.window_occlusion_tracking.enabled and change the "true" to "false” to disable it.
- Chromium-based browser? (The below parameter may or may not work if support for it has been removed in some version):
- Navigate to (or create) the shortcut of your browser and right-click it and select Properties,
- In the Target section, it will show an address in quotation marks. At the end, put one space and type or paste:
--disable-backgrounding-occluded-windows. Video!
✦ Media Player doesn't update for certain sources/does not work.
╰─ The media player uses system apis, so if some app doesn't show on the media player, it is likely because the app doesn't implement the media transport protocol.
- Also using nilesoft shell alongside results in the media player not working it seems.
