breaking changes

  • monitor brightness is now part of PhysicalMonitor (brightness, 0-100 or null when not supported), removing the GetAllMonitorsBrightness command and the SystemMonitorsBrightnessChanged event. SetMonitorBrightness now takes the monitor id and a percentage.

features

  • pinnable tray icons.
  • show pinned tray icons in the toolbar.

  • allow install system updates on power menu at restart or shutdown.

enhancements

  • customizable widgets show/hide animations, themes can style them via the data-widget-hidden attribute on the root element. The default theme includes a fade in/out.
  • tray icons now are sortable.
  • window manager overlay is no longer topmost. When a managed window is focused, the tiled windows and the overlay are brought to the front, so the overlay no longer needs to be hidden when a non-managed window is focused.
  • smoother twm animations.

fix

  • network/hotspot api failing on windows 10.
  • non focusable widgets (like the tooltip) stealing the focus when shown.
  • download wallpapers without thumbnail failing.
  • possible deadlock on startup when an internal event was dispatched while its module was still initializing.
  • creating a new workspace leaving the windows of the previous workspace visible.
  • failed workspace switch leaving the current workspace hidden and the switching state stuck.
  • destroying a workspace leaving its windows minimized on the active workspace, not restoring the new active workspace when the removed column contained it, and not re-tiling the moved windows.
  • stored pinned windows not being revalidated on startup, keeping closed windows as pinned.
  • restoring a window from a workspace of a disconnected monitor minimizing windows visible on other monitors.
  • unminimizing a window sometimes not switching to its workspace.
  • new windows sometimes being treated as hidden by a workspace, not being removed from the tiling layout when minimized.
  • window sent to another workspace sometimes not being tiled when switching to that workspace.
  • pinned windows could be sent to a workspace, being hidden on workspace switch while still pinned.
  • sending a window to its own workspace reordering it on the tiling layout.
  • unminimizing a window of another workspace (taskbar click, alt+tab) sometimes focusing a different window of that workspace.
  • windows sometimes being tracked on two workspaces at once, or kept on a workspace after being closed.
  • unable to switch to the workspaces created on other rows when adding a new workspace column (and vice versa).
  • renaming a workspace re-tiling the windows of the tiling window manager.
  • changing the wallpaper rotation interval not being applied until the current rotation ended.
  • broken signature of seelen-ui.exe on setup installers, causing it to be blocked by Smart App Control.
